Distinguished Alumni Award
At 2018 annual Basant festival at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on 3-4 February 2018, Dr Mihir Sinha (’66 PE) received Distinguished Alumni award. This is a very well deserved honor for Mihir Sinha who offers course in finance at Department of Management Studies at our Alma mater for many years as an Adjunct Professor at no cost to the institute.

SPE’s Lester C. Uren Award
Dr. Jitendra Kikani (’84 PE) received the SPE’s Lester C. Uren Award at the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition help on 24-26 September 2018 in Dallas, TX. The Lester C. Uren Award recognizes distinguished achievement in the technology of petroleum engineering. Recipients of this award automatically become Distinguished Members.

SPE’s Distinguished Service Award
Hemanta Sarma (’78 PE) received the SPE’s Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition help on 24-26 September 2018 in Dallas, TX. This award recognizes contributions to the Society that exhibit such exceptional devotion of time, effort, thought, and action as to set them apart from other contributions. Recipients of this award automatically become Distinguished Members.
